Welcome to Lainesmead Primary School and Nursery

As the new Headteacher of Lainesmead Primary School and Nursery, I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant, diverse, and forward-thinking school. Lainesmead is a maintained primary school where our vision of "Strive, Achieve, Excel: Believe in a Limitless Future" is at the heart of everything we do.

At Lainesmead, we believe in the importance of developing the whole child – socially, emotionally, and academically. In recognition of our exceptional work in this area, Lainesmead was recently awarded the status of Thrive School of Excellence and received an Area of Excellence through Challenge Partners for "Creating an embedded school culture based on the importance of social, emotional and mental health."

Our pupils have numerous opportunities to make valuable contributions to the life of the school, whether as Play Leaders, Learning Ambassadors, members of the School Parliament, or Prefects. We believe in empowering our children to develop essential leadership skills and a sense of responsibility.
