Consultation on changing the school day | Lainesmead Primary School (secure-primarysite.net)

Lainesmead is open for Breakfast Club from 8am each morning.  A number of after school clubs are available, including our paid childcare provision - L'After Club.  This is open from 3:15pm until 5pm (3:30pm on Fridays).  This will be extended to 6pm provided enough notice is given.  All children have access to both Breakfast and L'After Clubs, including Nursery children. Therefore, school is open to children for 42 hours and 55 minutes.

Our school week in class, with break and lunch, totals 31hours and 40 minutes.  School opens at 8:35am each day.  Break is for 15 minutes each day and lunch is 45 minutes each day.  The exact timings of lunch varies by each key stage. School finishes at 3:15pm on Mondays to Thursdays and at 1:35pm on Fridays.

Monday - Thursday:

  8.35- Gates and doors open, children enter class

  8:35 - 8:45  Early morning maths activities and registration

  8:50 - 9:10 Monday/Friday Whole School Assembly time/Wednesday Singing Assembly

  8:50 - 10:15 - Morning Session 1

  10:15 - 10:30 - BREAK

  10:30 - 12:15 - Morning Session 2

  12:15 - 13:00 - LUNCH

  13:00 - 15:00 - Afternoon Session. Key Stage 1 have an additional break during the afternoon.

  15:00 - Class reading time

  15:15 - Home time

Friday:
