Food at Lainesmead
You may have noticed that we have changed our menus recently. However, it has been brought to our attention that using words such as "wholemeal" or "50-50" can make ordering lunches with your child quite challenging!
Therefore, we have removed this wording from our menus, but please be assured that we do always use wholemeal pasta and bread, and 50-50 rice in our meals.
We hope this small change makes it easier, and sounds more palatable to your child, when you are making meal choices with them.
Please also note that bread is always available with each meal, this includes days when we are serving other breads such as garlic bread.
IMPORTANT NOTE: On occasion we will not be able to serve the published menu. This is due to factors affecting the price of, demand for, and availability of commodities we buy from our suppliers. Under such circumstances the school reserves the right to make menu changes without prior notification to parents/carers. Please be assured every effort will be made to provide an alternative which meets the School Food Standards as published by the Department for Education.
