Foreign Language
As a school, we have evaluated the gaps in learning due to lockdowns and covid. Whilst learning was missed for French in Term 3, we feel that there still has been, and will be necessary coverage across Key Stage 2 for French.
The new planning, compiled for each year group in Key Stage 2 for the subsequent year, has selected modules that ensure the broadest and most balanced coverage of each area, including oracy/speaking and listening, reading, writing and grammar. This ensures a range of progression and allows for skills in each of the above mentioned areas to be fully covered so that all the necessary components are in place for future learning.
