Volunteering
We welcome volunteers at Lainesmead Primary School and Nursery and know the valuable role they play in supporting children at the school.
In order to volunteer, an application process and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required to be completed before anyone can start volunteering. In addition, a Code of Conduct for Visitors and Volunteers must be signed upon arrival (see below) and this is then kept on file by the school.
Reading volunteers are trained by our Assistant Head teacher for English so that the support provided matches the way reading is taught at Lainesmead.
In addition, the Assistant Head teacher for Inclusion will train all volunteers through the school's Safeguarding procedures.
