The Swindon Local Offer is a website in Swindon for children & adults who have support needs, giving you correct information and advice at any time.
It includes information about public services across education, health and social care, as well as those provided by the private, voluntary and community sectors. For further information please follow this link: www.localoffer.swindon.gov.uk
At Lainesmead Primary School, we believe that every child has the right to an education, whatever their home circumstances.
We recognise that some of our pupils may be Young Carers, children who help look after a family member with an illness, disability, or other challenges and we understand that this responsibility can sometimes affect their education and wellbeing.
We are committed to supporting our Young Carers. At Lainesmead, we hold regular meetings where Young Carers can meet others in similar situations, enjoy a range of activities, and access a safe space to talk and have fun, supported by trusted staff members.
Our Young Carer Leads are Mrs Jarrett and Mrs Mann, who are available to offer advice, support, and a listening ear.

If you think your child may be a Young Carer, or if you would like to find out more about the support available, please contact Mrs Jarrett or Mrs Mann via the school office.
