The School Day

Our school week, inclusive of time in class, break, and lunchtime, totals 32 hours.

Breakfast Club: Lainesmead is open for breakfast club between 8:00 am and 8:30 am each morning.

Broad Overview of the School Day:

Monday-Thursday:

• 8:30 am: Gates and Doors Open
• 8:30 am - 8:45 am: Registration
• 8:45 am - 10:15 am: Morning Session 1
• 10:15 am - 10:30 am: Break
• 10:30 am - 12:00 pm: Morning Session 2
• 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Lunchtime
• 1:00 pm - 3:05 pm: Afternoon Session (KS1 may have an additional break during the afternoon session.)
• 3:05 pm - 3:20 pm: Class Reading Time
• 3:20 pm: Home Time

Friday:

• 8:30 am: Gates and Doors Open
• 8:30 am - 8:45 am: Registration
• 8:45 am - 10:15 am: Morning Session 1
• 10:15 am - 10:30 am: Break
• 10:30 am - 11:50 am: Morning Session 2
• 11:50 am - 12:45 pm: Lunchtime
• 12:45 pm - 1:25 pm: Afternoon Session (KS1 may have an additional break during the afternoon session.)
• 1:25 pm - 1:40 pm: Class Reading Time
• 1:40 pm: Home Time

After School Clubs: A number of after-school clubs are available to children, including our paid childcare provision - L’After Club. L’After Club runs from 2:30 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 1:40 pm until 3:30 pm on Fridays.

All children, including those in nursery, have access to both Breakfast and L’After Club.

Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures: Please ensure pupils are dropped off and picked up at the designated areas. Gates open at 8:30 am for drop-off and close promptly at 3:20 pm (1:40 pm on Fridays) for pick-up.
