Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL)
At our school, we do OPAL, which stands for Outdoor Play and Learning. This means we believe play is really important, and we want you to have lots of exciting things to do outside every day. OPAL helps you use your imagination, be creative, try new activities and enjoy spending more time outdoors with your friends.
With OPAL, you get to choose from lots of different play areas like sand, water, building, den‑making, dressing up, sports and much more. You can explore, invent games, work together and have fun in your own way. Playing like this helps you become more confident, solve problems, make friends and learn new skills without even realising it.
Most importantly, OPAL makes playtimes happier, calmer and more enjoyable for everyone — and that’s why we love it.
